Freak Show

In the past, when the Circuses would come to towns, especially in the countryside, they would plaster posters all around the area to advertise the Circus, and then sometimes more specifically the FREAK SHOW section of the Circus. "Freak Show" is based on this lost attraction of the past. The artists themselves, in the exhibit, can represent the FREAKS, for many in the community; however, their representative art works should serve this purpose, much better. The artists selected for this exhibition will either show previously exhibited works or produce works to suit the theme. The intention of the curator is not to promise an exhibit of shocking or “freaky” art pieces; in fact, there may be none in the show. On the other hand, most of the invited artists for this show in fact produce works according to the theme, on a regular basis.
